Alibi For A Murder

Synopsis:
the Festival of Britain 1951. Charles believes that his wife is having an affair with a younger man, David. He plots to kill her. He wants to establish a cast iron alibi and gets Richard a lonely, gay man to provide it. Charles murders his wife in front of David but when the police arrive all the evidence points to David who is arrested and convicted. then Charles starts getting blackmail threats from Richard.

Boating Lake, The

Synopsis:
1938 and the Brent family arrive at their holiday destination. It is somewhere they have been going to for years. But there is a sense that things are changing and that nothing will be the same again. Robert, the patriarch has cancer but has told no one. His son and daughter in law Edward and Lavinia are not seeing eye to eye. His grandson, David seems to be very unhappy but will not say why.

Mask For Murder, A

Synopsis:
Her first husband died under suspicious circumstances and when she returns from honeymoon her new husband is taken ill and then dies. It is from arsenic poisoning. the first husband is exhumed and he too died of poisoning. But the wife is not the only suspect - there is the housekeeper who is unhappy and also the wife's nine year old son who has a crush on the young doctor who lives next door.

Two Children on a See-Saw

Synopsis:
Norah is a lonely old lady. She fantasises about her past and talks to imaginary people. David, an actor, lives in the flat beneath her. He has just split up with his lover. One day Norah lets her bath run over and David comes up as water is coming through his ceiling. they strike up a friendship. David meets a new young man, also an actor, and Norah thinks he is wonderful. they both get a part in a new West End production and Norah goes to the first night.
