Irvine Welsh (born 27 September 1958) is a Scottish novelist, playwright and short story writer. He is recognised for his novel Trainspotting, which was later made into a critically acclaimed film of the same name. His work is characterised by a raw Scots dialect, and brutal depiction of Edinburgh life. He has also written plays and screenplays, and directed several short films.

Headstate

Synopsis:
about 4 young clubbers messsed up on drugs, Tina, Martin, John and Mickey. Mickey sells love, Tina has given it away, John denies it and Martin will always use it for a scam. the play jumps around in terms of chronoloigcal time and is set in a club and in a flat. Mickey is killed by the three of them and the play unravels how this occurred. "A shocking and humourous look at modern Britain: where we are now and how we got here".
