Addie Walsh was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Westport, Connecticut. She graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in psychology/theater and an M.A. in playwriting. Her mentor in the theater department was Len Berkman. She's a member of the Writers Guild and Dramatists Guild. She was a member of the acting ensemble, a playwright-in-residence and dramaturge at St. Louis Repertory Theater for four seasons. She taught serial drama writing at NYU's Tisch School. Her plays, Counters and April Fooling were produced off Broadway. Addie has had a successful career as a television writer. She has written for a number of daytime dramas including All My Children, Days of our lives, One Life to Live, Guiding Light, As the World Turns, Loving, Search for Tomorrow and Riviera which was set in Monaco and shown across Europe. She's been awarded an Emmy and four Writers Guild Awards. Addie has written her first screen play, Blond Broads, and is developing her next one-woman show, Confabulating Confabulations, which will premiere at Project Y Theater and be in the 2015 United Solo Festival. Addie lives in New York City with her two standard poodles. Her son, Mookie, and daughter, Lauren, live nearby in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Hoboken, NJ
