Piece of Meat

Synopsis:
Piece of Meat structures a vaguely philosophical whimsy, based loosely around her life as a vegetarian, which she abandoned after 26 years. the somewhat meandering monologue is delivered with humour and intelligence, featuring the Dalai Lama on Twitter, phone calls from Paul McCartney and the bemusing appearance of a half-naked waiter delivering a glitter-ball. Quirky perhaps, but these are simply light-hearted interludes between some rather powerful song styling. - the Stage
