Assignment, The

Synopsis:
Political espionage play on an American newspaperman's hunt for the Angel of Death" - Joseph Mengele, the No. 1 war criminal, devil of Auschwitz. The story focuses on two cousins who survived the concentration camps; one lives in England, the other became a New York journalist. When the cousin in England "disappears," the American publisher gives Hank Rubens, the main character, the assignment of crossing the Atlantic to find out what's happened, becomes a good friend, then lover of a businessman's daughter. And it's growing evident that suspicious things are happening around that grandiose home. The trail leads the young people to Germany (in the second act. A trail of vengeance, in the form of a mystery thriller.

Corrupters, The

Synopsis:
One-hour straight drama of social realism, portraying the life and problems of the female addict, young people, essentially non-criminal but caught up in the law courts, prison life, prostitution and the street itself. Adapted from the playwright's documentary novel, The People vs. Baby, which the National Council on Crime and Delinquency described as "unusually incisive, sensitive and understanding."
