David Riedy. David Riedy's plays have been seen all over New York City, most recently at the Neighborhood Playhouse intheAtrainplays and the Staten Island Ferry Plays, of which he is Head Writer. As a founding member of the Lexington Group, Mr. Riedy directed and was Head Writer ofthe Ballad of Larry the Flyer, which enjoyed critically acclaimed runs at the 2001 Piccolo Spoleto Festival and the 2001 New York International Fringe Festival. His one-act Late Night in the Women's Restroom of the Jungle Bar was produced as part of the Ensemble Studio Theatre's 2001 Marathon of One Act Plays. Scenes fromJungle Bar were published by Smith and Kraus in their Best Scenes 2001. His one act play Quick & Dirty (A Subway Fantasy)won the 2003 Samuel French Short Plays Festival. Several of Mr. Riedy's plays are published by Playscripts, Inc.

Synopsis:
Harry, painfully shy, decides to practice meeting people on the A train at 3 o'clock in the morning. Jonathan, who is coming from a party where he's made a social blunder that may ruin his career, is the lucky person Harry decides to practice on.

Short Shorts

Synopsis:
Jackie and Anne stage an intervention on the subway when they find out that Darla is about to go on a date with the cute FedEx guy from their office building. While the women have nothing against Darla, they hate the idea of her taking him away -- after all, the UPS guy is kinda ugly. But as the women discuss men and dating, they also begin to open up about their dreams of love in this sweet, offbeat comedy about work and romance.
