I'm an actress and comedian and I sing and write. I was born in Germany and grew up in New York City. I studied acting at the University of the Arts in Berlin. I am a native speaker in both English and German. I'm German in the morning and a New Yorker the rest of the day. I come from a crazy family of artists and rebels. We call ourselves The Chaos Club. My father is a German author, actor and director, his name is Klaus Pohl. He was born in the magical town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria. My mother was born in Bucharest, Romania and lived there until her aunt, Bertold Brecht's wife Helene Weigel, brought her family to East Berlin. One week after their arrival the wall was built and my mother was later imprisoned for protesting the government. My mother is a singer, her name is Sanda Weigl. My sister Marie Pohl is a writer and actress, she just published her new novel in Germany. That's my tribe. I live in New York and Berlin and am following my dream.
