Andrea Sloan Pink holds an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA School of Film and Television as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Pictures and Television and a Juris Doctorate from the UCLA School of Law. Her award winning writing has been published in literary and scholarly journals. Her plays include the Physiology of Solar Flares, a one-act produced in 1993 by the UCLA School of Theater, Origami, a full length play which won the Panndora Productions New Plays Festival in 2008. Origami received a staged reading at the Royal Theater aboard the Queen Mary directed by David Gold. Her one-act play, Ode to Provence, was selected for a staged reading at the STYAGES Theater as a part of the annual Discoveries series by the Orange County Playwrights Alliance in 2009. Ode to Provence was directed by Chapman University Theater professor, Tamiko Washington. Andrea Sloan Pink produced and wrote 26 episodes of the Best and Brightest, a televised festival of short works by young filmmakers hosted by Jennifer Jason Leigh, Lorenzo Lamas and others. Her professional experience in the film industry includes working with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the Guber-Peters Company, United Artists and Highgate Pictures. Andrea Sloan Pink studied writing with Kate Braverman, Pulitzer Prize nominated poet and novelist, Michelle Mitchell-Faust, Pulitzer prize nominated poet and Carolyn See, best selling novelist
