Kristian OHare has a PhD in English with an emphasis in playwriting from Western Michigan University. He received a MA in Creative Writing emphasis in playwriting from Boston University, where he worked with Nobel Laureate Derek Walcott and playwright Katherine Snodgrass. Kristians plays have been produced or developed by theatres that include the Whole Art Theatre (Kalamazoo), The Ringwald Theatre (Detroit), The Actors and Playwrights Initiative Theatre (Kalamazoo), Abydos: The Directors Theatre (San Francisco), Western Michigan Universitys Zack L. York Theatre (Kalamazoo), Boston Playwrights Theatre, and the Ruckus Theatre (Chicago). His play Like Poetry has been a semifinalist for the Eugene ONeill National Playwrights Conference (2010 and 2012) and the Bay Area Playwrights Festival (2010).
