Joe Musso's plays have been presented in seventeen states and in Canada. His full-length play "Blood Water" was named a semi-finalist for the 2008 Stanley Drama Award at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. His full-length play "White Pearl in Red Dragon's Mouth" received an Honorable Mention in the 2005 Third Annual John Gassner New Play Festival sponsored by Stony Brook University. His full-length play "Electra Orleans" was a finalist in the Long Beach Playhouse 2005 15th Annual New Works Festival.

Absinthe

Synopsis:
It's July 1900, and a race riot has engulfed New Orleans, sparked by a black man killing two white policemen. At first, the violence on the streets is far removed from the genteel parlor of Grace Newman, a blind white woman cared for by her house servant, Curtis, a former slave owned by Grace's father. Grace and Curtis's relationship is forged by respect and compassion. However, their true feelings for each other must remain hidden from Grace's racist brother Henry, a Civil War vet who fought for the South and who is hell-bent on bringing justice to the black man who killed the two white policemen. As the race riot in the streets unfolds, Grace and Curtis's relationship unravels..

Everything He Wanted

Synopsis:
Robert, a rich unethical lawyer, is fulfilling his dream to write a novel. Kim, his wife, recognizes he writes schlock and that the novel will embarrass her when it is self-published. Robert believes he is in control, just like he is with the characters in his novel. However, it's his wife who writes the ending.
