Joe is a young playwright based in Liverpool, where his play HELD was produced by Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse in November 2012 and subsequently shortlisted for the National Theatre Foundation Playwright Award. His first play THE LAUNDRY won the Write Now 2 Award and was produced at the Brockley Jack. He is also a director and stand-up comedian, and is currently on attachment at Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse.

Synopsis:

Laundry, The

Synopsis:
Worn out, weary and working in a Liverpool laundry, Terry needs someone to talk to other than the basement walls. Teenager Ben becomes his new assistant, having left London and his recent past behind. As the laundry's monotony and claustrophobia take their toll, the two men find themselves locked in a violent battle of wills, dependent on each other for their own freedom and redemption.

Mind the Gap

Synopsis:
Nina is a young, Liverpool woman on a London tube carriage, when the carriage shudders to a halt it's obvious that something serious has happaned. Trapped, Nina and her fellow passengers have to talk. Pimento theatre invite you to immerse yourself and experience the character's external and internal thoughts and watch as their interlocking stories unravel. An innovative theatrical experience, in a story exploring modern Britain today and the gaps that exist between ourselves and others.
