Synopsis:
Harris Harbison has had three novels published but has not achieved fame and fortune. He lives in a run down apartment - the bath is next to the gas stove in the kitchenette. He has one fan and she writes to him often. Then he has two offers. One is from a gangster who needs his novel "tidying up" as words keep getting in the way of him telling the story. The other is from a college friend who wants him to ghost write a television series.
