Amuse Bouchees, The

Synopsis:
Frank and Gordon, friends since childhood, meet religiously for their monthly gourmet meal. Frank calls the two of them, the Gourmands, as if they were a club. When Gordon tries to order a salad and bottled water, Frank thinks he's dying. Gordon convinces Frank he's not sick. Frank's protests and their ensuing arguments reveal how Gordon really feels.

Dad's Arrival

Synopsis:
Helen MacDonald is spending her 40th birthday working--plowing through a bodice ripper from a publishing house. Her UPS driver brings scripts every day; today he has something more-champagne and a declaration of love. Hesitant, Helen succumbs just as her Father mysteriously arrives alone from Maine. Dad puts the couple under his microscope as Ron bows out, but the tangle continues as Dad reveals her mother is sick. Dad drops a bomb. Helen throws her Father out. She is left alone thinking her Mother is dead. Until the phone rings. Helen, desperate to get to Maine, calls on her only option--her UPS driver. the drive gives them time to see where the relationship and puts a mirror to Helen's liberal ideas of herself. Helen reconnects with her mother in her final hours; now she must capture, salvage, grab what she can. Mother and daughter try for reconciliation, just before Helen's mother asks her daughter for another sacrifice. Helen remains in Maine after the funeral as Ron returns to New York; they have made a connection. To be continued. But first Helen is determined to have her Father be her father. Before she is faced with another final scene.

Synopsis:
In the stark reality of the frozen north, Roger and Eunice meet accidentally on a dock on the Hudson River. At the ends of their respective ropes, they are both separately scrambling for answers and looking for endings, but they soon end up looking at each other stripped of all security and altering each other's fate.

Nobody Leaves

Synopsis:
Heinous, Clarity's boyfriend since high school, fails to succeed as a criminal. Pirhana, a member of an opposing gang, gets the upper hand and hits on Clarity. But no attempt to juggle the pecking order seems to work in this clubhouse over the garage. Escalating frustration over her floundering relationships forces Clarity to see the banality of senseless violence. Her response is to find a way to fight the threesome's malaise and incompetence. Clarity's lack of resources to make things better has limited success as she realizes her efforts cannot measure up to what is beyond their control.

Queen of the Mist

Synopsis:
Is it for fame and fortune that Annie Taylor plots a trip over Niagara Falls in a barrel? Or is she motivated by other desires--to leave behind something of herself. Her manager, Frank, doesn't much care but he does recognize her stunt as a moneymaker. Assuming she'll die, Frank plans to use her barrel on tour and replace the older woman with his young, ambitious, sweetie, Martha Wagenfurher. Just as Annie readies herself for the Falls, temperance battleaxe Carry Nation descends on Niagara Falls threatening to steal the limelight. Undeterred, Annie makes her move. She's sealed up with her cat and her manager launches her over Niagara Falls. Annie survives and arrives emerging from her barrel, barely alive. She wants her due, but gets thrown in prison for trespassing over the falls. Worse she ends up in a cell with her nemesis Carry Nation. the women, at odds, must unite to fight the establishment. From that need, they find common ground and friendship. Annie helps Carry find emotional truth and when Carry gets out of jail with the help of her "sisters" she helps Annie recover her barrel. But things don't work out the way either of them expect.

Saddam's Crapper

Synopsis:
It is the morning of April 8, 2003, the day the U.S. invaded Iraq. Kathleen Belasco, CBN on camera reporter enters Saddam Hussein's palace. She discovers Zubayda, Saddam's cleaning woman and attempts to do a live interview--the first interview of an Iraqi to appear on American television. Belasco doesn't anticipate Zubayda's response or some of her own needs as the interview progresses.

Steps

Synopsis:
Four men who have sought shelter from their addictions in a halfway house in Troy New York support each other in their struggle to stay sober. they each have a job to do; a responsibility to keep the house going. Fear and anxiety prevail as Easter family visits approach. Even a saintly intervention can't prevent things from spiraling downward. At the end of the day they are changed. Forever.

Two Microbes from Mars

Synopsis:
Bored to tears on Mars, two entrepreneurial microbes capture some of the video tapes and a tape player and see movies from earth. Determined to start an entertainment empire in space they "hurtle" themselves to earth to steal Mickey Mouse's DNA. Time is of the essence since earth has too much oxygen for them to survive.
