Gravediggers

Synopsis:
The gravediggers should be burying a soldier but they are more intent on scoring points off each other. They spin his body so it can point to who was right. A mother arrives with her grown son in a baby carriage. The son is avoiding the draft so the mother is going to shoot him. But things do not go according to plan. The son falls in love with the dead soldier. The mother holds the gravediggers hostage. A government official arrives to sort things out

Rooftops

Synopsis:
Rooftops is a satiric commentary on the economic divide present in American society. When Crane is ripped from her world of comfort and convenience and catapulted on to 'the Tops', she is introduced to a world of women living and working in a futuristic 'debtors prison'. These women, under constant sedation, unlivable conditions, and government experimentation, are quickly deteriorating both mentally and physically. As she learns the rituals and rules of her new home, including a regimented diet of fast food chicken and an expectation to breed with the rooftop's male watchdog, Crane's hope of ever returning to her old life seems impossible. When an Arab-American man, who is demonized by the media as a terrorist, offers Crane a chance to end the suffering of the rooftop dwellers, but possibly sacrifice herself in the process, Crane is forced to question the worth of one human life versus the freedom of thousands.

Synopsis:
Who Is Jordan Bishop? chronicles the meteoric rise and inevitable demise of celebrity gossip monger/part-time rock-god/full-time a-hole, Jordan Bishop. Although he remains a shadowy figure throughout the night, the plays use a variety of genres, styles and devices to reveal the man, the myth, the legend one theatrical snapshot at a time. Eight directors, eight playwrights, and 16 actors will explore our obsession with celebrity and celebrity image in this exciting new play series. The playwrights for Who Is Jordan Bishop? include Ian August, Eric Sanders, Scott Rad Brown, Evan Cummings, Patrick Garrigan, Karly Maurer, and Clayton Smith. Each play features a two-person cast led by different director. Stephen Tyler Davis, Karyn Joy DeYoung, Evan Enderle, Emily Firth, Branden Huldeen, Ann McCormack, Steven Pierce, and Noah Racey will direct.
