Cowboys

Synopsis:
Melanie's supposed to be moving to New York City tomorrow. She meant to quit her job and she intended to be packed, but she hasn't and she isn't. Even worse, Topher and his boyfriend Max will be over any minute to help her move to their Brooklyn apartment! The thing is, she was supposed to have moved to New York a year ago to pursue a career as a jazz singer, but her boyfriend Thomas asked her to stay, to live with him, so she did. Then one day Thomas came home with a ticket to London and she hasn't sang a note since. Now it's time for Melanie to finally pursue her dreams, but she finds her self torn between a man who doesn't want her and Topher, who wants her a little more than a homosexual adopted brother should-something that troubles Max as well.

Laughing All Along

Synopsis:
Brooklyn. 2006. Sebastian, a frustrated artist, is clinging to the fraying end of his rope in the search for true love. His adopted sister, Edie, is engaged to marry Sam, her partner of five years. Sebastian's life is suddenly transformed when he meets the man of his dreams, Andrew, on the internet. Meanwhile, Edie embarks on a journey of sexual awakening when she has an affair with Dion, a Romanian immigrant with a haunting past. In the end, Sebastian's bliss is jeopardized by a not-so-little secret Andrew has worked hard to conceal and Edie's covert romance threatens not only her engagement, but her whole identity.
