Simon was born in Dorset in 1976. He graduated from Leeds University with a degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies. Since then, he's written extensively for the stage. He trained on the young writer's programme at the Royal Court and has had pieces performed at the Cockpit, Young Vic Studio, site@the royal court and Chichester. His plays include Blessed Be the Immaculates, Moonbeams from Cucumbers, Heads, Lunch in the Park and Bunk. In 2005 he wrote Shakespeare's Happy Endings, a 60 minute spoof documentary film for BBC Four. He is a founder member of the gaia theatre collective www.gaiatheatre.org
