Tony a grape farmer in San Francisco has been conducting a romance by mail. RosabElla has sent him her photograph - she is young and beautiful. Tony is getting on in years and is fat and balding - he feels he cannot send a photograph of himself. So instead he send a photo of Joe his young and handsome foreman. RosabElla arrives and when she meets Joe they fall in love. Joe tells her that it is Tony that she has been corresponding with she is not happy and prepares to leave. they hear that Tony has been injured in a car crash. at the hospital Tony tells her that he probably has not much longer to live and that they should marry immediately. although she loves Joe she agrees

Senor Discretion Himself

Synopsis:
Panchito is an illiterate baker - he is also the town drunk. However when he is drunk he develops a photographic memory so when his daughter reads the newspaper to him - next day he remembers it all. an older man is paying attentions to the daughter - Lupita. Lupita is only fifteen and Panchito is most unhappy about this. He gets a friend to write a threatening letter to the older man - but the friend is a pacifist and the letter he writes is quite different - but it has the right effect as the older man is very moved by it. Meanwhile an image of the Virgin Mary appears on one of Panchito's loaves

Where's Charley?
1892 Oxford. Two students Charley and Jack have invited their girlfriends over for lunch. It will be quite proper as Charley is expecting his aunt to arrive. Charley goes to the station to meet her. the girls arrive but seeing no chaperone leave. Charley comes back from the station without an aunt - he had misread her letter - she is arriving much later. their lunch plans seem to be thwarted. Jack's Father arrives and tells him they are broke. Jack suggests his Father woo Charley's rich aunt. Charley is appearing in the student play and tries on his costume - he is playing an old lady. the girls arrive and mistake Charley for his aunt....
