Last Night of Don Juan, The

Synopsis:
In this witty and original play, Edmond Rostand imagines that the devil comes to claim Don Juan's soul and conjures up all the women he has seduced. Don Juan tries and fails to justify his actions. There are some imaginative effects which demand a producer's ingenuity. Translated by Sue Lloyd and Sonia Yates.

Two Pierrots, The

Synopsis:
In Rostand's earliest play, Laughing Pierrot and Sad Pierrot compete for the love of Colombine. The action takes place as they enjoy a dinner together.

Woman of Samaria, The

Synopsis:
Translation of Rostand's retelling of the story in St John's Gospel, of the woman converted by Jesus at Jacob's Well. Written for Sarah Bernhardt and performed by her regularly. Translated by Sue Lloyd and Philippa Gerry. An ideal choice for church groups, with two main speaking parts and several crowd scenes.
