Winner of a Samuel Goldwyn Writing award, a Fulbright Senior Specialist, and a graduate of the UCLa M.F.A. program, Weiko started his career in the Theater writing and performing in Los Angeles at UCLa's Royce Hall, Veterans Wadsworth Theater, and David Henry Hwang Theater. Most recently, his newest play 100 DaYS had its first public staged reading at Silk Road Theatre Project in Chicago and is set for a 2011 production run at Loft ensemble in Los Angeles. In film, Weiko has written projects for the Mark Gordon Company, Good Worldwide, Inc., and Madhouse entertainment. as writer/producer, Weiko is adapting the biggest Taiwanese hit CaPe NO.7 for its Hollywood remake. a member of the Dramatist Guild of America and Writers Guild of America-West, Weiko is on the faculty at Northwestern University in the Radio/TV/Film Department and the M.F.A. Writing for the Screen and Stage Program.

100 Days

Synopsis:
after his Buddhist mother passes away of cancer, a college circuit comedian on the road has 100 days to marry in order for his mother's spirit to transition in peace. Reluctant to fulfill this superstitious condition, the man awkwardly reunites with his estranged and married high school sweetheart. the death that reconnects these two as adults turns out to be their source of salvation.

Notes:
100 DaYS is based on the Taiwanese tradition that if A parent passes Away before his or her child is wed, the child has 100 days to get married in order to ensure that the parent's spirit transitions peacefully or risk A delay of 3 years. Inspired in part by the death of his own mother, this tradition set the kernel for what would eventually become Weiko Lin's newest stage work 100 DaYS.

Best Man, The

Synopsis:
Mitchell spends the evening before his wedding at a New York hotel suite with his best man, Danny, a musician burnout who makes his money prostituting his young, naive girlfriend, Misty. Mitchell's marrying Julia, who is also Danny's ex-wife. When the women arrive, the charade begins. the drinks flow and suddenly inhibitions melt.
