Recipient: National Playwriting award for Children; CaPS Grant; Fellowship at City University. Playwright, librettist, composer, GaIL KRIeGeL was artist-in-Residence at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center,2005-6. Gail has been widely produced. Her film FRaGMeNTS won top awards at five film festivals and for her prize winning play, ON the HOMe FRONT, she received a Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship, One World Arts Grant, NYFa grant, the Ruby Lloyd apsey award and was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. Gail was Visiting artist at the American academy in Rome, 2005. a member of the BMI Musical Theater Workshop, her work has been published by Smith & Krauss, Heinemann Press and is included in the archives at Lincoln Center.

Synopsis:
a collaboration of seven award-winning women playwrights, SeVeN is based on personal interviews with seven women leaders of the Vital Voices Global Partnership network who have triumphed over huge obstacles to create major changes in human rights in their home countries. Sweetie

Synopsis:
the time is 1935. the place, Clayton, South Carolina, a small town where bigotry of class and race is routine. Based on a true story, it follows the street girl SWeeTIe and a group of orphaned teenagers as they make their home with the young ReVeReND DaN who molds them into a church band. But when Dan's Congregation turns his orphans into outcasts, the big dreaming Reverend leaves his congregation and takes Sweetie and his rag tag Orphanage Band on the road. a Dramatic musical, Sweetie is the story of a young woman's struggle between love and loyalty and a man's heroic deeds brought down by his passions.
