an award-winning scriptwriter, as well as a director and producer, Karen Jeynes is one of the exciting new voices in South African Theatre. Her plays include everybody else (is fucking perfect; Go Home affairs, Kiss Kiss; Backwards in High Heels; Bedtime Stories for Big Boys and Girls, a literary theatrical experience; Don't Mention Sex; and Laying Blame. Forthcoming plays include I'll have what she's having, sky too big and Getting there. She also teaches scriptwriting for the South African Writers College and runs scriptwriting workshops, and facilitates the Young Writers Project. In her spare time, she works as a freelance journalist/copywriter/editor and has also had two books published as part of the Siyagruva Series for New Africa Books.

Synopsis:
In this day and age, it's not easy to have the perfect life. there are too many stresses and expectations, so why not make one thing easy? Find Mr Right. . . in the personal ads! Charlotte is a troubled 20 something on a quest to find the perfect relationship. See how Charlotte faces dilEmmas like resisting chocolates, getting rid of psycho dates and buying a packet of condoms. While Charlotte's own internal struggles are eternal, the "blind dates" in the show are just that: unadulterated improvisation!

Synopsis:
Have you ever really loved somebody? Thirty-nine year old Spar Manager Gavin really loves his wife Cathy. and she really loves him. In fact, their lives are almost perfect. Cathy also really loves her big sister Traci, who has come back from england to meet Gavin. Or has she? and Traci really loves her little sister: but does she love her toyboy, Jared the barman? and does he really love her; or is it all just about the sex? Soon skeletons are being wrenched from the cupboard by Traci's toyboy barman Jared, and nothing will ever be simple again!
