Pieter Jacobs is an award-winning playwright, actor and Arts manager. after completing his studies in Performing Arts at Tswhane University of Technology he joined a touring performance group under the auspices of the aTKV (afrikaanse Taal en Kultuur Vereniging). During this time he made his television debut as an actor in local Sa Drama Song vir Katryn which was screened on KykNet and subsequently on MNet and SaBC 2. He has also worked in the United arab emirates as an event manager and entertainment analyst. Jacobs has performed in various Theatre productions in South Africa and Ireland including Benjamin Britten's a Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Christine Crouse and Happy endings are extra directed by Neville engelbrecht. In 2003 he scooped the KKNK Nagtegaal Debut Prize for his play Plofstof and was nominated for the international Oscar Wilde award for new writing for Theatre in 2008 for his play Dalliances. Pieter is currently the Projects Manager of the Arts & Culture Trust (aCT).

Dalliances

Synopsis:
Before even speaking, Leo and Ken make out in a lift. they run into each other again and fall in love. andy tries to commit suicide but Ken rescues him. Ken arrives at the club looking for Leo but finds Janet snorting cocaine. after a few lines they end up having sex. andy discovers photographs of Ken and Leo and confronts him about it. Ken loses his temper and physically assaults andy. Janet and andy encounter each other when he turns up at the club looking for Leo. they start talking and eventually make a pact to commit suicide. after a car accident the hospital discovers Ken is HIV+. andy blames Leo and holds him at gunpoint. the discovery that Leo didn't know Ken was cheating calms andy down. Leo tells Janet about the incident and she is clearly alarmed. andy promises to take care of Ken but instead brutally murders him. Janet plans to disappear. Leo walks in on her and discovers that she and Ken had sex and that she tested + for HIV. they are interrupted by andy appearing with a shopping trolley full of garbage bags which we discover hold Ken's mutilated body.
