Dan Hine and Chris Sussman met at Cambridge University, where they both studied. After graduation, Chris joined the Carlton Fast Track scheme and launched his career as a TV producer. He has since worked on a wide variety of comedy and entertainment shows for the BBC, ITV and ChAnnel 4. Highlights include 'the Richard Taylor Interviews' (Winner at the Rose D'Or 2003) and 'the Friday Night Project'. Dan, meanwhile, became a Theatre director. He oversaw a number of productions at home and abroad, before winning the inaugural Oxford Samuel Beckett Trust Award for experimental Theatre in 2003 - the largest prize of its kind in the UK. He migrated to TV soon after, and made his debut with 'A Paradise Adventure' for ChAnnel 4. As they pursued their separate careers, Chris and Dan also began writing comedy in their spare time. their first effort was a pilot sitcom script called 'Medics', which caught the eye of comedy producer Harry Thompson, then at Talkback Thames. Harry subsequently gave them their first credit, as writers for the adult animated sketch show, 'Monkey Dust'. Dan & Chris have since gone on to become established sketch writers, contributing to two series of 'Man Stroke Woman' and 'the Peter Serafinowicz Show', both for the BBC, as well as numerous pilots. they have more recently branched out into comedy Drama, developing a number of scripts for TV and radio, including 'A Paradise Adventure' for ChAnnel 4, 'Long Distance Love' for BBC1, and 'Regressed' for Radio 4. In addition to their writing, Dan & Chris currently manage comedy and Drama development at the independent production company, Silver River. Working on the other side of the fence, they're fortunate enough to be developing projects with writers that include Andrew Davies, Craig Warner, Julia Davis, Greg Burke, SAndy Welch and James Moran.
