Nationality:    Australian
email:    n/a     Website:    n/a

Literary Agent:    n/a

Brett Heath has been working in the Australian theatre, film and television industry for over twenty-five years. In that time he has cultivated his diverse skills, including the use of sound, lighting and camera, providing him with a great understanding of both the technical and artistic process. His most recent technical assignment was that of principal sound recordist on the film 'Happy Feet', directed by George Miller. Brett has acted in many ensemble productions over the course of eighteen years, and has written, directed and produced three one-man physical tragi-comedies which have played in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Two of these scripts, 'Abacus' and 'The Easter Man', are held by the Australian Script Centre. It was whilst presenting these shows that he learned the skills of producing. He has been mentored by Robert Lepage at Ex Machina in Quebec City, invited to attend the Roy Hart Theatre in the south of France and most recently produced 'Anais Nin - One of Her Lives' in New York City. In 2005, he produced 'For the Love of Alma Mahler' at the Sydney Opera House for Pascal Productions as well as creating the photography, video and sound design for the show. Brett has also directed for television, working for over a year on the Australian soap 'Home and Away'. He has taught both directing and sound at the Australian Film and Television School based in Sydney.
