Born in New York City, grew up in the Bronx began working in the theater with The Roundabout theater when it was in its first incarnation below a supermarket on 26th street and eighth avenue. Worked for many years in theater in New York and Florida. Went into Nursing and worked as a mental health nurse. Started working as an HIV counselor phlebotomist in 1993. Dan began writing BTS in 2003 after working 13 years in aIDS. Working closely with the quilt I began to think what it would be like if some of the people could come out of the Quilt and speak. Now there are 10 characters. We did 14 performances last year, we are funded through June 2007, by The Dyson Foundation, Mac aIDS and The Louis R Capelli Foundation. We are in the process of Incorporating as The aIDS Theater Project New York.

Between The Seams

Synopsis:
The play is set at a World aIDS Day Quilt Display, Each of the characters come out of the aIDS Quilt and talk about the ways they were infected and how they might have done things differently if they had the opportunity.

Notes:
The play is presented in scenes during regular periods in the school day, in the Auditorium. We Are A traveling theater company. We have our own lights, sound, special effects, costumes, props, scenery And crew. Set up time is 2-3 hours.
