Emma Frankland is an award-winning theatre maker and performer, based in London. She has created a diverse collection of work and most recently was invited to be a part of the British Council Showcase at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival with an anarchic adaptation of Don Quijote, made in collaboration with Keir Cooper and Ultimo Comboio, and developed as part of CPT's Starting Blocks scheme. The show was the winner of the Wildfire Critics Choice award at this years Ignite festival and has toured the UK and internationally, appearing earlier this year in Rio de Janeiro at the Festival del Tempo.Throughout her work, there is a shared theatrical language that focuses on honesty, action and a playful DIY aesthetic.

Synopsis:
Pouring fuel oil onto the Blue Peter garden of gender, this project investigates why sometimes it's necessary to smash things up. "People who do this sort of thing must be mentally ill" - Percy Thrower / the NHS A radical performance exploring the failure of language to communicate (simply) how we feel. Using vandalism, graffiti and a lot of noise, this performance challenges the portrayals of transgendered people within society and asks where is it ok for us to stand?

We who are changing We who invite trouble Your eyebrows renew themselves every 64 days. Each cell in your body regenerates every 7 years. Your whole life has been a series of events that have brought you to this place at this exact moment in time. It could be a test result, a phone call, a bus turning left that you just didn't see; a poorly timed joke or a chance encounter on a train station. Every single day something changes.
