Sally

Sally
The Alley Inn, Greenwich Village. Mrs Ten Broek brings in a number of waifs to apply to be dishwasher. Sally is given the position and is dubbed "Sally Of The Alley". She meets the waiter Connie who is really Grand Duke Constantin in disguise. Connie's embassy is holding a ball in his honour. Having seen Sally dance he thinks it will be a good idea if she danced at the ball. However a famous French ballerina has been booked for the occasion. When she backs out and as no one in New York has seen her it is decided to pass Sally off as her. The result is that Sally gets a leading role at the "Ziegfeld Follies"
