The Rufus Equation, winner of the FringeNYC 2013 Award for Overall Excellence in Playwriting, is Ted Cubbins first play. He has been involved in theater for most of his life. Ted has served on the board of the Blue Hill Troupe (BHT.org)  a 90 year-old non-profit theater company that has raised over $3 million for local NYC charities, and is a member of The Amateur Comedy Club (founded in 1884). He has also produced, assistant directed, stage managed, and served as technical director for various productions including How to Succeed..., Into the Woods, Brigadoon, Little Shop of Horrors, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Pirates of Penzance, and HMS Pinafore. Ted also grew up with a passion for physics, which he studied at Princeton University and went on to practice at NASA and elsewhere. While a graduate student at Princeton, he was the last student of Professor Robert Jahn, who pioneered the scientific pursuit for experimental evidence of a "sixth sense."
