Bernadine Cockey lives in McCall, Idaho in a cabin in the woods. She is a core member of the alpine Playhouse, where she directs, acts, and workshops her plays. She was a founding member of the Jughandle Musical Theatre Company, and the Payette Lake Writer's Conference. Her plays Death Comes To Sweet William and a Little Time In the Fall were selected for workshop at the Seven Devils Playwrights Conference.

Synopsis:
Billy ran away from home at sixteen, and his family was glad to see him go, all except for his sister, Daffy& Now, six years later, Mother gets an ominous phone call. Billy has been killed in a terrible accident at work. That should be the end of it, yet Daffy won't just let him die. She thinks his body should be found and given a proper burial. . .as if the family hasn't enough to worry about already! Mother has dinner to think about! Father has important affairs to worry about! Rose has her therapy, Lily her prom, and Iris. . .well, who really cares what Iris thinks about. and then along comes a mysterious stranger claiming to be Billy's "Friend", insisting that he has "gifts" for everyone, bequests left to them by Billy.

Synopsis:
It is a dark and stormy night, and a motley crew has gathered for the weekend. Margot would like to get her business conducted and beat it back to the city. However, before she gets a chance to meet with Gilbert Hunter, someone sneaks into the study and sticks a knife in his back! after a thorough search of the house for an assailant, they realize the murderer can only be. . .one of the assembled guests. Could it be Margot? Stanley or Stewart, Gilbert's nephews? Toni, his young trophy wife? adrienne or Felicity, Gilbert and Toni's loyal assistants? Or the old family retainers, Raylinda or Lester? Before the police can arrive to sort it out, some of the suspects are up-graded to victims.

Synopsis:
Sarah has been newly appointed public defender to Grace, who is awaiting trial on the most awful of crimes: stabbing her three children. Sarah doesn't want the case; she doesn't want to defend this woman; but what she must know is why. Why would Grace do this, when by all account's she was such a "good mother". How could Grace do such a thing, when she seemed to live only for her children. Sarah gradually finds herself losing faith in her old dependable words. . .like guilt and innocence.

Synopsis:
Candy has a horrible job, a kooky batch of friends, a broken relationship, and a rather large chip on her shoulder. . . and she's perfectly happy that way! She plays cards with her friends --elderly Miss eggars, mentally-challenged Guy, nerdy-teenaged Natalie-- every Thursday night, where they accidentally drop the news: Roland Sweet is back in town. Sweet is a large, sweaty, detestable man who has a fondness for young girls and illegal substances. Convinced that Candy is contemplating murdering him, Natalie convinces Miss eggars and Guy that they've got "to kill him first!" Her plan: they will lure Sweet, a diabetic, to the house, chloroform him, tie him up in the basement, and feed him ice cream sundaes until he's expires.
