Kelsie Chance (playwright) hails from a small town called Many in the swamp-famed state of LouisianA. He studied opera Theatre at Northwestern State University, where he soon discovered anton Chekhov and Tennessee Williams. a scholar of the King James version of the Holy Bible, he has been nationally recognized as a Bible trivia champion and theologian since age 15. as a conductor, he has conducted Brahms' eine Deutsche Requiem in both San Francisco and Chicago. Mr. Chance is a graduate of the National Shakespeare Conservatory and has studied with StElla adler. His first play, Swamp Redemption, was included in the Script-in Hand Series at the New Jersey Repertory Company, which also graciously included a scene from his play, Chekhov's Mistress, in the innovative Theatre Brut Festival. He is a student of Dutch and Flemish and has lived in Belgium for two years to research his novel, Kortrijk. He died on 1st September 2008

Chekhov's Mistress

Synopsis:
In April of 1990, in her final moments of her acting and legendary teaching career, StElla adler helps a young man realize why he is connected to Tennesee Williams, and while doing so, the play swings back to 1909, where adler finds herself in the Riverside Drive apartment as she tries to direct herself as a child in her electrifying childhood, as the young man reminds her why she is so connected to her father, Jacob adler.

the ACTOR must be Able to Accomplish the roles of 'stanley Kowolski' from A Streetcar named Desire, 'Konstantin' from the Sea Gull, And the role of Jacob Adler, Stella's father. the ACTReSS must be Able to Accomplish the roles of 'Blanche Dubois' from A Streetcar Named Desire, 'arkadina' from the Sea Gull, And the role of Sara Adler, Stella's mother. StElla Adler @ 8 yrs old must be All-knowing And realize her own power Although she is merely A child. She must be Able to Accomplish the role of 'the Ghost' in Hamlet in its entire unabridged version. When StElla Adler Addresses the 'class', she is Address the Audience.
