Don Carter is an actor, playwright, teacher and director. He holds an MFA in Theatre from Rutgers University, where he studied acting with William esper and Maggie Flanigan. Don continued his studies in New York at the Wynn Handman Studio. He began writing solo work in 1996 with the NY performance group RUMBLe IN the ReD ROOM. While studying with Wynn Handman, Don workshopped eight monologues that later became his solo show FINDING PIeCeS. Don produced FINDING PIeCeS during the 2004 Midtown Theatre Festival. His play COMING TO the TaBLe was produced by the Drilling Company in 2004 and published in PLaYS aND PLaYWRIGHTS 2005 by the New York Theatre experience. In 2005, Don produced, directed and acted in a collection of his short plays titled FOUR FOR the OFFICe. as an actor, Don performs on the New York stage, in regional Theatre, film and television. Don began coaching actors privately in 2001 and also teaches a class for writer/actors called WRITING YOUR OWN SOLO SHOW. Don lives in New York City.
