Trained in London, Rosalie Carey worked in professional theatre in England, Ireland and New Zealand for about seven years. She then taught drama and produced plays in Wellington and Dunedin, From 1961-1973 her life and home were totally occupied with the Globe Theatre in Dunedin. She has previously had three dramatisations produced success fully, but now has time to write original material. Rosalie Carey is currently national president of the New Zealand Playwrights' Association. (1979)
