Patricia Canale is a native of the Bronx, NY. Ms. Canale was trained at the American Musical Dramatic Academy in NYC . It was at this time , she was first introduced to the works of fellow natives, John Leguizamo and John Patrick Shanley. "It was then that I realized that there was a place for me in this business." Under the tutelage of Jose Rivera, Patricia was able to find her voice in her work. She began her collaboration with friend and director , Michael Cormier. As she wrote, he would help convert her literary style into actable text. "A World Beyond the Bronx" began as a 10 minute monologue at the Macha theatre in West Hollywood, Ca. After a run at the Missing Piece Theatre in Burbank, Ca and a sold-out run at the L.A. Comedy festival, "A World Beyond The Bronx" made it's NYC debut at the United Solo Festival on Theatre Row.
