Originally from the North of England, David left his career as a professional rugby player to finish his Business Management degree at Leeds University, before touring as a musician for two years. In 2009, David moved to New York City where he trained as an actor at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. In his last year there, he played Hamlet under the direction of James Tripp, the school's Head of Acting who hailed the performance as 'A triumph.' David returned to the UK in the summer of 2012. Whilst in New York, David began to write monologues for himself and fellow students. One of these monologues would go on to inspire his first TV sitcom pilot 'Bruce Richter >> Professional Park Security' which attracted immediate interest from the BBC. In November 2012 a rehearsed reading was staged at the Hampstead Theatre of David's first full length play 'The Stars of Gatz Therman.' David's second full length play 'Orion's Hat' showcased at the Tristan Bates Theatre in June 2013 and is due to return for a full run in 2014. He is currently developing various new projects including two new plays and his first feature.
