Catharine Ashdown is a Writer and Script Editor in drama development across TV, film and more recently, theatre. She has worked extensively as a Script Reader (Media Desk, Northern Ireland Screen, Irish Film Board), Script Editor (BBC, ABTV, Pearson Television) and as Literary Associate for the Theatre Writing Partnership in Nottingham. She kicked off writing with the screenplay Borderland for Northern Ireland Screen and director Margo Harkin (Hush-A-Bye Baby). From there, she was commissioned to develop a series 'bible' Hometown for ITV Drama and a short horror script Seed, for producer Alexa Seligman (The Fold). Her short film Wings with Hannah Murray, was directed by Esther Richardson and produced as part of DV Shorts. Bygones, a play, was performed at the Curve theatre and Nottingham Playhouse studio. She is a full member of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain and a screenwriters' mentor for the Underwire Film Forum. Currently developing drama series Garlands and Dolly Birds, she is represented by Christine Glover at Casarotto Ramsay agency.

Synopsis:
Belfast, 1995. Two strangers meet on the night of President Clinton's 'Peace visit'. Whereas Carmel is reeling from the pace of change, Dan hopes to recapture a magical episode from his youth.
