educated in Theatre Arts -at emporia State University in Kansas and in Playwriting at the University of arizona, Mr. alpaugh was, in 1973, the recipient of a Miller Fellowship in Playwriting and in 1974 the winner in the Jacksonville (Florida) University Playwriting Contest, in 1985, he holds the position of Playwright-in-Residence, the Cricket Theatre, Minneapolis. Six of this playwright's works were produced in the past decade and he holds current memberships in the Dramatists Guild and in the author's League of America.

Synopsis:
Barry works nights to put himself through college. To appease his girlfriend, who is unhappy about their lack of social life, he recruits Jerry, a practical joker, to fill in for him at the funeral parlor where he works. the resulting comic chaos includes Jerry swapping places with a corpse.

Snatch A Falling Star

Synopsis:
Ned is a superstar gone to premature seed on too much booze, food and drugs. Jan is a superfan who is saddened by his suicidal life style. She persuades her brother, a would-be actor to help her kidnap her hero. the prisoner is subjected to a health regimen of which he is initially contemptuous. Ned comes to realize that his captors are his friends and even falls in love with Jan. the ending is not as pat as one might expect but each of the characters leaves the hideaway apartment changed for the better.
