Toronto-born Michael Ross Albert is an emerging playwright whose work has been showcased Off-Broadway, in the foothills of Eastern Appalachia, and in several international theatre festivals. His plays include Starfishes (Best American Short Plays, 2010-2011), The Big Sandy River Plays (Jenny Wiley Theatre) and Karenin's Anna (Toronto Fringe Festival, Outstanding New Play  NOW Magazine). He is the founding co-artistic director of Outside Inside, an independent theatre company founded in 2011. To date, Outside Inside has produced three of Michael's original plays in FringeNYC, as well as his new adaptation of Arch Oboler's science fiction melodrama, Night of the Auk. Michael received an MFA in Playwriting from the Actors Studio Drama School. He is an associate member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
