Katie Wimpenny trained at Rose Bruford College as an actor. In recent years she has focussed her attention on writing. She is currently working with Red Planet Pictures on a television comedy, 'Fallout' which has recently had a commission with Channel 4 and is one of twelve writers chosen for this years Channel 4 screenwriting scheme. She is also working on a comedy drama, 'This Way Out Please' with Noho film and television and was a finalist in last years International Screenwriters Goldmine competition with her script 'Caravan'. Last year she wrote and performed a monologue called 'The Orange' at The Landor Theatre as part of the Shorts writing event, which she has written and directed for previously. As an actor she has worked at The National, West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Arcola, The Market Theatre in Johannesburg, toured with Shared experience and has various TV and radio credits.
