Make-Up Stories

Synopsis:
This searing comic Drama abut the complexities of racial identity and sexuality addresses the lies one black man will commit to achieve outer beauty. Stevie has covered every speck of abuse and neglect in his life with Max Factor, Revlon And L'oreal, yet underneath he is still subscribing to the white concept of beauty. For him, black is ugly, and white is beauty and truth. So he simply puts on the white frosting and dresses up to the nines as a woman, eventually smothering every aspect of himself, as the quality of his life slowly deteriorates. Eventually, with the help of a brash street-wise girl, Stevie begins the process of peeling off the protective layers of clothing, make-up, and lies to find the true person he never learned to love.
