Synopsis:

It borrows motifs at will. The scenario is George Orwell's: man becomes cog in gargantuan capitalist machine. A disembodied voice cajoles him out of bed, dictates the time he has to breakfast, and marshals his energies at work. The plot is reminiscent of 'The Truman Show', in that the wheels start to come oft'Abe's perfectly oiled life when he meets a new waitress in his diner and falls instantly in love with her behind.
