Feed The Beast

Synopsis:
You're asking me to waste my time making sure some newspaper isn't going to be mean? Michael is moving into Number 10 Downing Street and there will be no charm offensives with this Prime Minister, not with a country to run. There's no time for lunches with the press while there are children living in poverty. And there's certainly no time to comment on a minister's illicit affair while the country needs more nurses. But when his family's private life looks set to be the next big story, Michael seeks help from a press secretary who advises, "Feed the beast before it turns on you." Can Michael keep politics centre stage or will he become the big story himself? Feed The Beast is a fiercely funny look at the rocky relations between our press and politicians in a world of spin-doctors and Leveson Inquiries.

No Naughty Bits

No Naughty Bits
Inspired by a true story, this gloriously funny play investigates the nature of comedy, the operation of censorship, and the complex misunderstandings implicit in the Anglo-American relationship. In December 1975, Monty Python's Flying Circus was broadcast coast to coast in the US. It was the Pythons' first time on a major network. . . but somebody cut out all the naughty bits! Undismayed, Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam flew to New York to persuade the network to reinstate the cuts - and, somewhat by accident, found themselves at the centre of a landmark court case concerning freedom of expression and the protection of artistic integrity. . .

Roaring Trade

Roaring Trade
Fast-paced and astute, Roaring Trade exposes just how far people go for the highest-risk jobs in the City. Pressure is mounting on the bond traders' floor and millions stand to be lost or won. Jess is playing FTSE with the clients, PJ's practising his poker face for bonus day, and superstar trader Donny's in danger of losing his crown to the new boy. Could they be headed for more than a financial crisis?

Whipping It Up

Whipping It Up
It's a week before Christmas, and the new Tory government is facing dissent over its latest Bill. With a majority of only three, the Whips' office is out in full force, and they'll stop at nothing to keep the strays in line. But they're in for a long night: boy scouts are rioting in Whitehall, the PM's golfing with the President, five Tory rebels are on the loose and the Chief Whip's playing at Santa - could this be the beginnings of a leadership challenge? Whipping It Up is a fast-moving switchback of a play, with more twists and double-bluffs than a poker game between conmen.
