Llanelli born Aled has been writing since he was 15, when he was a winner of Bristol Old Vic New Voices Competition (Mrs. Portor in Living Walls of Jet, performed at Bristol New Vic Theatre). Won Cameron Mackintosh Award for New Writing for Graceland (winner of the Oxford New Writing Festival) and had rehearsed readings at the Soho Theatre of two plays, Too Big for One and Mog. In 2006 he was an awarded a commission from Film Agency Wales to turn Graceland into a screenplay. More recently a short play, Sell, was given a rehearsed performance by the National Theatre and a full-length play, The Finding of Pat Arnold, was performed by Sherman Cymru as part of the Egin:Springboard Festival at Chapter. I currently live in Leeds and am completing a first novel. I enjoy watching cricket in my pants.

Synopsis:
a body is carried through the crowd accompanied by take-away pizza and the cast. Brought together by the request of a dying man for his last rights, the short piece focused on the feelings brought out by the significance of Christmas - Carrie and her failed relationship with her mother and the slightly predictable religious banter between rival parish priests

Mog

Synopsis:
Mog is a bright lad soon off to college. His cousin Alyn is a bit of an idler. Theres friction between the families. Alyns Ma is very fond of Mog but shes given up on her son though is still seeking a girl with a sturdy frame for him. Da and Mas conversations are a continual war of words, their weapons are chicken legs and turkey twizzlers. Come and join this furious romp through family life in Brynmawr!
