Jerry Polner's full-length play Fix Number Six was presented by the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity in 2013 and was nominated for six Planet Connections awards including Outstanding Playwriting for a New Script. The play was also published by Next Stage Press. Jerry's short play Medici Love was presented by the independent theatre group Fresh Produce'd in the same year. His previous play Quit The Road, Jack was chosen for the Humble Play Festival of Appalachian Ohio. Jerry's short plays Florence Farewell, Gone With The Masha, Thank You For Applying, and Saute Your Face were produced by the Brooklyn Playwrights Collective at the Manhattan Theatre Source, the Brecht Forum, the Greek Cultural Center, the Williamsburg Art and History Center, and Galapogos Artspace. He has also contributed short plays to the first four seasons of New York Madness. His earlier one-act play History Ends Here was produced by the Workshop Theater Company in New York and by the Astor Street Opry Theatre in Astoria, Oregon. Included in his other full-length plays are Half Baked, produced by the Story People, Man Overboard, produced by High Five Productions, and the comedy revues National Lunch and What's So Funny (co-author) presented by Brooklyn Playworks and Manhattan Punch Line Theatre respectively. He has contributed to the McSweeney's and Political Subversities web sites, and his play Weatherman was published by Samuel French and has been performed by high school groups around the country. Jerry studied playwrighting at HB Studio and comedy sketch writing at The People's Improv Theatre and Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
