Jeanne Mazure has been writing plays since 1991 and has had screen plays produced. In 1992 her second play was workshopped by the ANPC and was subsequently performed by a professional partnership at the Red Shed, (I'll Give You All the Diamonds in my Teeth). Two of her plays have been supported by ARTSA as writing grants. Another had its production supported by Living Health. At present she has been commissioned by a group of Aboriginal women to write a play about their experiences of a very controversial event.

Breaking Glass

Synopsis:
Richard, a dying Austrian immigrant who is married to a woman from an Australian communist family is helped by a Jewish psychologist to confront his past. His schooling at an establishment to train SS officers under the influence of his Nazi uncle and other less expected horrors of his past are revealed. Tension is exacerbated by the triangle of the three adults reliving past events.
