Dirty Great Love Story

Dirty Great Love Story
Can a one-night stand last a lifetime? In her eyes, he's a mistake. A mistake who keeps turning up at parties. In his eyes, she's perfect. He's short-sighted. these hopeful, hapless romantics shamble through bleary mornings after, merry Christmas parties and cider-soaked festivals but can they get together? Or even get breakfast? An achingly funny on-off love story of good intentions, bad timing and friendly livestock.

Notes:
written by Richard Marsh and Katie Bonna. A very human tale of good intentions and bad timing. Winner of 2012 Fringe First (for innovation and outstanding new writing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe), Dirty Great Love Story is a tale of the chance of love in a one-night stand. Developed at the Vault Festival at the Old Vic Tunnels, under the working title "Brand New love Story" on 24 Feb 2012

Duet

Synopsis:
Duet is a brand-new piece, so at the time of writing we can't give you a synopsis of the story. But you can probably expect tales of the world's least romantic, most romantic stag and hen dos, festivals, lonely Christmas dinners and a pineapple. A wry, warm, real romance told in a hopeful, heartfelt way.

Notes:
written by Richard Marsh and Katie Bonna. A scratch performance by Richard Marsh and Katie Bonna. Richard and Katie perform hilarious, heartbreaking poems together.

Greedy Scratchers

Synopsis:
In the beginning, there wasn't the word - From the first word to the first god, the first knife to the first lie, from feeding to farming, from metal to money, from death to doctors, this wry and thought-provoking drama brings you the prehistoric ancestors of chimpanzees and men, who evolve onstage into modern-day homo sapiens. Watch us break the first heart. Pay the first tax. Kill the first king. This pioneering play blends drama and science, physical and text-based theatre to tell a love story spanning 6 million years (and a complete change of posture).

Rumpus

Synopsis:
A comic drama about a non-religious regular guy who starts hearing the voice of God. Embarrassing. God isn't what he expected. God has a sense of humour (after all, she designed the penis). And God is looking for redemption. She's got religions wrong many times before. This is her latest start-up. This is religion 2.0. Richard is the grandson of a preacher-man, who married out of his own church. This made Richard a religious mongrel, somewhat confused as to just what he didn't believe in. Rumpus is a comic, poetry-soaked drama which asks what happens when you're hearing God's actual voice - it's just that nobody else is.

Westminster Side Story

Synopsis:
theatre503 present a series of short plays which riff on the theme of "Coalition" - both in that they are all products of collaborations between playwrights and artists of other disciplines, and in that they all address in one way or another the new age of coalition government in which we find ourselves. You might say that a theatrical exploration of the current political situation could have come a little sooner; but coinciding as it does with the student riots and the general reaction to the October cuts, this project feels incredibly vital. there are ten pieces of work, split into a Blue Group and a Yellow Group (for Tories and Lib Dems, of course), which perform on alternate nights.
