Frank Marcus was born on June 28th 1928 in Breslau, Germany. He came to england in 1939 and was studying in Kent when he was evacuated to Shropshire due to the War. He studied at St Martin's School of Art from 1943 to 1944. He married Jacqueline Sylvester in 1951 and had two sons and a daughter.
