Jed's plays include The Naming, developed by Inscription, The Rumour penned whilst writer-in-residence at The Crypt Theatre Balmain Sydney, Cohabitation, produced at the Bondi Pavilion and as a rehearsed reading at the Alliance of Resident Theatres New York, and The Wedding Trifle, awarded the Varuna Fellowship for Drama. Jed has been shortlisted for the NSW Premiers Prize for Literature, commended in the Fellowship of Australian Writers Awards, was a national finalist in the Triple J Raw Awards and is the recipient of the NSW Order of Australia Emerging Directors Prize.

Cohabitation

Synopsis:
Fred and Gina are flatmates looking for love. Kate and Simon have found love, but are flatmates. Matt's greatest love is himself. Set in Bondi, Australia, Cohabitation is the tale of five vulnerable hearts, two very different households and one overcrowded cafe. Inspired by Lamarck's giraffes, neural Buddhists and Flight of the Conchords, it's a back from the beachfront look at survival of the fittest, the power of music and falling in love.

Rumour, The

Synopsis:
Balmain. Tonight. A disillusioned left wing journalist has uncovered a scandalous rumour about the Leader of the Federal Opposition, that if true, will finish him and give the Left a shot at the Labor leadership and the next election. . .as long as he can confirm the facts and file a story by 10. Set in real time, The Rumour is the story of a frustrated true believer, an uber right wing political consultant, a doctor, a girlfriend and a Harry Kewell worshipping football fanatic. Inspired by Machiavelli, Marx and Orwell, it's the local tale of the global plight of the desperate Left against a dominant Right and the vacuum that's now in between.

Wedding Trifle, The

Synopsis:
The day before a country wedding, a bride discovers her hitherto happily married parents have separated. Needless to say, this is going to make family photos somewhat difficult. A psychologist by trade, she attempts to broker a reconciliation. In vain. Tempers flare, fishnets tear and acrimony turns to alimony as hopes for a happy day crumble faster than the overcooked wedding cake. And as the shortcomings of her parents marriage are revealed, the brides forced to confront her concerns about her relationship with the groom. Do they have what it takes to live happily ever after?
