Jay Luxembourg is a graduate from Cambridge and of the Ma in Creative Writing at the University of East angliA. She is a member of The Factory and is working with the company on its forthcoming production of THE ODYSSEY. Jay's plays include DEMOLITION (aFTER BORIS VIaN) (The Factory at the Victoria & albert Museum), BaCKDOOR SNaP (Theatre503), L'HOMaSSE (Hampstead Theatre Start Night), ELLIS ISLaND (Theatre 503) and INSaNE JaNE (Soho Theatre Studio/Pleasance Courtyard, Edinburgh). Jay's short film PHIL'S JOB won the Time Out DVious Shorts award and was screened at Cannes, Melbourne & Raindance festivals. Her past awards include the International Student Playscript competition. Current projects include a new play called HaDRIaN'S WaLL; an adaptation of the Julia Bell novel DIRTY WORK for Rania Jumaily; and a screenplay called THE CHRISTOPHER COMPLEX.

Synopsis:
The Factory turn their unique spirit of spontaneity, playfulness and imagination to Homers epic tales this spring. Combining movement, song, text and improvisation, each performance will be a spontaneous re-telling that re-creates the original spirit of one of the worlds oldest oral storytelling traditions.
