        Bell

Bell

Synopsis:
Meet the 19th century man whose inventions shaped the 21st. Alexander Graham Bell is best known as the inventor of the telephone, but there was much more to this charismatic mastermind. Written by renowned journalist Jim Lehrer, BELL explores the fierce rivalries, tender relationships, and bittersweet triumphs of this daring, disorganized genius. Pulling from private National Geographic archives and never-before-told stories, BELL offers an intimate look at the Society's second president. A holder of more than 30 patents, Bell pushed the limits of exploration, challenging fellow inventor Thomas Edison and paving the way for many modern-day innovations. As National Geographic celebrates 125 years of exploration, the world premiere of BELL is a fitting tribute to one of the Society's early leaders whose never-ending curiosity continues to shape the world we live in today.
