Fiona Laird formed her own Theatre group Small Theatre Co. in 1988, residing in Holloway, North London. after a successful first original play, the group specialized in classical Greek comedy, notably aristophanes. With their remake of ''the Clouds'', they entered an international festival in Delphi, Greece, august 1990, winning third prize. after the break-up of the Small Theatre Co. Laird joined the Royal Shakespeare Company.

LOVeSTRUCKNWl is an 80s fairytale set in the squats and clubs of Camden Town. allthat matters is music, make-up, falling in love and avoiding armageddon. Until one night a gun goes off in a crowded club, someone shouts in Russian, the world changes in an instant and running in high heels proves a lot harder than you think.
